A GATHERING OF GENERATIONS

  • High Leigh Conference Centre Lord St, Hoddesdon EN11 8SG Hertfordshire (map)

ASCENSION TRUST & RAFFA

Every generation significantly impacts the next. As the millennium generation take on leadership roles in terms of culture and churches that are materially, financially and structurally different, how do we support them to bear the weight of the challenges that they will undoubtedly face whilst protecting the gospel.

THE THEME : SUSTAINING THE RELATIONAL LEGACY OF GOD

The cultural traditions, experiences and relationships that the next generation will retain and carry forward will weigh heavily on the shoulders of the current laity and the baton that is passed from one generation to the next.

This event will provide the platform for sharing intergenerational lived experiences as well as review:

▪ What kind of legacy are we creating?

▪ What kind of faith will tomorrow’s leaders inherit?

▪ How do we stop our churches from haemorrhaging?

It is hoped that out of these conversations a consensus will emerge that will encourage strong young men and women to take the baton of faith acknowledging the legacy of faithfulness that has been left for them.

This incentive is led by Angela Clarke of RAFFA, Bishop Wilton Powell of COGOP, Les Isaac of Ascension Trust, Shermara Fletcher and Jake Isaac.
